The Elizabeth Smart Foundation exists to drive social change in the fight against sexual violence. Our education programs adopt a thoughtful, trauma-informed approach and include the perspectives of survivors and victims. We envision a compassionate society where survivors are heard, individuals are empowered, and sexual violence is eliminated.

A Symbol of Hope and Strength
Our brand icon is the Winged Victory of Samothrace. The statue depicts Nike, the Greek goddess of victory, on the prow of a warship. It was discovered during the 19th century in over 100 pieces across the Greek island of Samothrace. Since then, the statue has been restored to its current state, although the head and arms are missing. While broken and incomplete, the Winged Victory symbolizes triumph, strength, and beauty even in the face of adversity. It stands at the Louvre in Paris.
